SIESAR - Connecting Intelligence

Major selection and career path is a very daunting task for students of any age. With so many possibilities and so little time to choose, many students feel as if they end up in the wrong major doing something that they do not care for. This is the main inspiration for Systems & Information Engineering Student Alumni Relation (SIESAR). A project in joint collaboration with the University of Virginia Department of Systems and Information Engineering, SIESAR will serve as an information tool for students.

Aside from serving as a knowledge base, SIESAR is a tool for companies to find potential employees. Companies are becoming more and more school-loyal. SIESAR allows employers to sign up and tailor job postings to entire schools. This model is significantly more effective than current job finders, as it connects both interested parties in a smaller community.

Click Fraud Detection

Click fraud is one of the most significant issues affecting the internet advertising market today. Each day, illegal click fraud practices take out huge sums of money from the market, simulating clicks from interested users that are actually from competitors.

See the below diagram for a visual representation of how click fraud is currently taking place.

Yeah Systems is currnetly developing a click-fraud detection algorithm that will be able to alert webmasters and web advertisers when click fraud is taking place on their website.

Due to the secretive nature of the algorithms being developed, YEAH systems has chosen not to disclose the specific information regarding to how the algorithms work here. To request more information regarding the algorithms, please contact us to arrange a meeting.

Student Class Matching

Matching student schedules is a daunting task that is not quite mastered by social networking websites. CommonClass.com is a solution to this problem - an online utility that matches your schedule with that of every other student in the school.

CommonClass.com is a very seasonal website, but we are searching for further opportunities to use the site. Early in summer 2006, the CommonClass team began developing modules to complete other tasks, such as determining shared lunch periods, mapping class locations, and date matching. Expect all of these features to be showcased in the next release in August 2007.
